RoboMate - "Robot Assisted Therapy"
ABSTRACT
RoboMate is an innovative medical software device designed to support cognitive-behavioral rehabilitation through interaction with humanoid robots. The system integrates principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and multisensory stimulation techniques, offering personalized interventions for two vulnerable populations: children with neurodevelopmental disorders (such as autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities) and elderly individuals affected by senile dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
The scientific foundations of the system, its technological architecture, and the ways RoboMate is used in clinical and educational settings will be presented. Participants will have the opportunity to attend a live demo of the software and robot, gaining a close-up view of the tool’s therapeutic and rehabilitative potential. Preliminary study results and real-world use cases will also be presented, creating space for questions, discussion, and collaboration opportunities.
